For everybody that has this, you know it takes 6AN fittings. My question is, are your threads really loose? I mean, I know that pipe fitting are loose till you tightn them to a certian point, but these are pretty much loose till the fitting bottoms out. Not what Im used to. Seems like Im gonna have to teflon the hell outta it.

mine weren't loose at all when i installed the fittings for the portfueler. i didn't use teflon though because you shouldn't have to. if you are going to use teflon, just make sure you are using teflon paste and not teflon tape.

If I understand what you are saying, then yes, typical AN flare fittings will screw on easily. When you say it gets tight and bottoms out, that is the the flared section of the connector touching the flared part of the male connector. This is how flare fittings seal, by compression. So be sure to get them tight. Flare fittings need NO sealing compound of any kind. If it leaks, then generally the fittings are not tight enough. I've NEVER used any teflon or anything on flared fittings, and never had a single leak. If you do use teflon, just be sure not to get any on the flared sealing surfaces.

I'm helping DJ with his MS install today... so I'll see if he means the fittings that screw into the FPR, or the AN fittings that screw onto those fittings...

Hopefully he's not confused here....the O rings go on the fitting that screws into the FPR side, NOT the female fitting that screws onto the FPR fitting. My Aeromotive FPR had those fittings already on and tightend when I got it new..

That's right... the o-rings need to be at the NPT connections on the FPR.

The adapter you use on the FPR looks like this, kinda.



But it uses an o-ring to seal to the body of the FPR and then you connect your -6an fuel line to it. You cannot connect a -6an directly to the fpr.

Im saying this from the perspective of my aeromotive fpr. The fitting that goes into mine is not a pipe fitting but a straight thread that uses an o-ring to make a seal. An npt fitting will never use an o-ring, it seals on the concept of the threads binding. Your fitting should not go from small to big but rather be straight down. Hopefully you can picture this. Most Aeromotive fprs are like this but Im not completley sure about yours.
