Ok I remember someone else has done this (just not who)
I'm adding an inline fuel pump to my current setup (star stage II) and I'm looking for any advise. I've heard with the walbro and an inline there will be more than enough fuel for the stock injectors. yes/no???
Also was told I can just use the inline and put the stock intank pump back in. yes/no???
I'm planning on running the walbro and inline together (to be safe) but in the next 3 months I'll be buying 440's or 550's an safc and a lower fmu (4:1) and just using eather the walbro or the inline (which ever one you guys feel is better)
so post all you knowledge.
Thanks

I run a Walbro and an inline together. It's overkill, i'm sure, but better safe than sorry.

If you already have the walbro, there's not much sense in taking it out. I'd go ahead and use it in conjunction with the inline. After all, you paid for that pump, one way or another.

I'd also recommend doing the fuel pump rewire listed on www.vfaq.com .. It's an easy, cheap mod, and the results are worth it, especially considering the current drawn by both those pumps combined, and the stock wiring.. it is likely, after wiring both pumps to the stock source, that you would constantly blow the fuse.

With 440cc and a 4:1 regulator there is no reason to upgrade from more than the Walbro you have. But if it makes you feel safe and/or you plan on pushing boost to 15psi and beyond go ahead. I would use a 3:1 which would top out at 95psi at 15psi.

LAST EDITED ON 05-Sep-01 AT 12:07 PM (PST)

thanks guys!! But I can't get the inline right now (damm wife's car) so I think later I'll just get the 440's and the 4:1 (probably a little too right but the afc should fix it). That rewire mod, dose it make an improvement in the effect of the pump? Or is it just a precaution to prevent blowing fuses??
