I'm willing to bet YES. Think about the effects of instaneous cooling on extreme hot metal. Can cause warping or cracking. hence people recommend to wash your car after your brake disc has had time to cool off.

i don't think it would be a problem unless you're sitting in a downpour. other than that i can't see all that much water getting onto the turbo. i think this was asked before and people that had it said they didn't have a problem. i could be wrong though

it will be fine, if anything, cause it to oxidize much faster.

yes its fine...i washed my car several times just after driving, it always billows steam from the vents when the water hits the turbo housings, but never cracks. it's pretty cool though because with that hood, the compressor housing is perfectly visible through the center vent.

Yah then it would be pretty cool cleaning the melted hood off your mani! just kidding! If you want that put a neon under there, but I don't think the neon will hold up to the extreme heat of the turbo, unless you wipe it down with that deoderant that holds up against extreme heat!
