i need to know what years work the best for this. right now i have a 95 modle year rail. it looks like two 97 plus years is what corbin is using but i wanted to check.

12 bucks a foot...can't hardly go wrong IMO. But I work for a machine shop and could get the machining done for a little bit of nothing...and have the guy teach how to use the CNC machines to boot. :thumbup

That is the exact fuel rail extrusion I purchased and used for my secondary fuel rail. In my situation, where I mounted the secondary rail ontop of the upper plenum, by the firewall, this was needed because a stock rail would not fit right. But yeah, a 99+ rail would be ideal, if possible. Making your own isnt that hard, but indeed adds much more fabrication time/skills.

The 1995 rail has the regulator built into the end of the rail. You could bypass the regulator like this: http://www.2gnt.com/www/corbin/fpr.html. That would let you use a 1995 rail with the external FPR (Aeromotive).
The 1996 rail generally does not have the integral FPR and has the test port in between two injectors. This can be used without modification. It doesn't really matter, but I didn't like the test port being in between two injectors. You use it for the return line, so I'd prefer if it was on the end of the rail.
The 1997-99 rails do not have the integral FPR and have the test port on the end of the rail. This can be used without modification. I think this is the best option.
If it means anything, I sold my modified 1995 rail and a 1996 rail just to get matching 1997+ rails. Thats what made me happy.
