#79754, "Looking for a 3" Downpipe? Get in here."

Okay, the upper (Read: Hard) part of the down pipes is done and the Jig is finished. They clear the AC Compressor, PS Pump and Stock Radiator fans. But now I'm trying to figure out the best way to mate this system with everyone’s current setup, the way I see it is this. Stop the down pipe a few inches from the Cat and supply a reducer to mate up to a stock cat. Well that just causes a restriction, The only way to make that work would be using a dump before the reducer, which I could do. But what if you want a full 3" all the time? Well if you already have a 3" you're going to want to use it to it's full potential. So post your setups, as in what type of cat-back and if you run a Cat converter or not. And please post any concerns you have, for example if you need to run a cat for emissions testing, or if you would be willing to reinstall the cat before having your car tested. Here in Detroit we don't have to worry about that stuff, so let me know how you guys feel about it.

i would want to pu in a dump. thats just me. i would like to do a 3 in all the way back with a cat for emissions but it seems that it would be cheaper and pretty effective to use the dump.

Price will be around $300 w/ a SS flex section, with the 3" dump it's gonna be a little more.

dont you need the rear 02 to see an exhaust flow to keep from going into a limp or safe mode? or does it just need to be plugged in...

i remember the discussion with hahn at the s.o. about that.

Only if it sees no activity at all. I drove with the downstream o2 out for months. It was plugged in, but not in the exhaust. Regardless, even with the dump open the o2 sensor would see the exhaust, just not all of it.

Yep, It would be impossible to install as one piece.

I think I'm going to offer two different lower sections. One will have a 3" dump that you can open manually at the track by removing the wing nuts, or 1 for a weird custom setup that would just have extra pipe at the end for people to adapt however they see fit. With the dump you can have a stock exhaust and Cat, but still get the advantage of the 3" pipe when you need it. Hell, if you wanna spring for the electronic dump you can just hit a buttion in the car and open it up. Those electronic dumps will bolt directly onto my dump.

I confused its 300 for a downpipe and how much will it be for a 3" turbo back with a five bolt flange with no cat run for?

Also I love it here in Florida, no emission test and the race scene is very serious. We should all just move to Florida and call it a day.

It would be sweet if your downpipe would have a 2.5 inch reducer to mate up to an ert highflow cat. will a qtec work with the dump your using? I know you said it work with most I'd just like to double check. good work my friend I'm sending you a bumdle of cash come tax time.

If the ERT cat will bolt up to the stock stuff it should work. I've still got to get my hands on a stock cat and cat back, I haven't seen one in years. And yeah it will work with a 3" 3-bolt Qtec. That will save you from crawling under the car all the time. This one: http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=2

It for the downpipe and o2 housing, from the turbo to the cat and has a SS flex pipe and o2 bung.

The whole thing will be powder coated with a high temp silicone powder also, so it will have a nice show finish for people who are into that type of thing. emoji

Run4cvr has both in his backyard right now. The AZ2GNT group just sawzall'ed the parts car the past weekend and have numerous OE parts lying around. Do you need digi-pics? Length measurements? Let me know, we may be able to help out.

I'm highly interested. Hit me up on AIM (PiKapp504) so we can talk! I might be interested in a full 3" turbo back setup if the price is right for my HRC setup. Either way, I"m intersted in the DP. Hit me up ASAP!

Cool man thanks. I want to actually install one on my car so be sure everything fits right and to test them when they are done. I'm gonna take my time and make sure everything is nice, no use in rushing and having it not fit. The problem is shipping it to me. That shit is heavy! It would be nice if I could just get the Cat and the straight pipe, I don't think I need the muffler. As long as it sits right when I put it on the hangers. I'll pm run4cvr and ask him about it. I just remember that shit is Heavy!

It's for hahn kit's, that's all I have to test fitment on. I could make a different o2 housing part that would work for Star kits, but I don't have anything to test the fitment. I was up at ramchargers the other day and I have my buddy that works there on the lookout for someone with a star kit so I can barrow it. emoji
