I have a question I have a modified clutchmasters stage 3 clutch but anyway the fork keeps breaking a tab off the clutch release bearing... I was wondering if there was an aftermarket application for this or if anyone else is having this problem? I have lsd and fully built tranny and have lightened flywheel from clutchmasters also... but I don't know if that has anything to do with it...
anyway you all know how most after market clutches make kind of a squaking or chirping alittle... mine does that too but sometimes right as its switching to a load and just before you fully release the clutch it will sometimes make a grinding noise because it breaks the tabs off this bearing its done it twice now so I Was just wondering if anyone had any ideas before I go for a third time?

This is just a shot in the dark but it your flywheel is lightedned that peobably machined it down making the clutch closer to the motor putting a greater angl on the release fork / throwout bearing. Have you tried a OEM one? I thnik the tabs are metal compared to plastic.

Well the the stock tabs on the bearing are metal and thats the one it broke off and if its any smaller its a tenth or less I would imagine not much different from stock on the flywheel... the tabs are just really small but they are metal.

I'm not sure what I want to do anyways... this engine I have in right now is comming out of my car soon to put my other engine in that is just about to come out of the machine shop... so I will be back in there then and was thinking I could replace it then when I have my whole engine out...

also I will be selling the engine I'm taking out now 420a.... you could use it as a core for a new rebuild if anyone is reading this that is interested let me know.
