#79013, "this turbo, worth it or not?"

T3 turbo, .48/.42 off of a 84-87 turbocharge Dodge. The guy said it'll go for anywhere from 250-300 horsepower and it's only $50 in good condition so I am thinkin "why the hell not?" but if this is a crap turbo, let me know emoji. I want to get a temporary system together before I go nuts and get the checkbook racing red haze.
btw, searching for "T3" turned up hardly anything.

they said it'll flow up to 250, 300 horsepower efficiently depending on other factors (there are so many with turbos I don't even know really). I need a Ford or Volvo exhaust section though because the Dodge T3 flange is unique to this turbine and not the same as a standard T3 flange, and then I have to get around the internal gate somehow.

???? why get around the internal gate? is that one of those mopar bitched up turbos? w/ the weak spring that leaks at over 14 psi?
btw, ideally, you want a turbo from an 89-up turbo II, the exducer went from 2.25" to 2.5" in 89

note the lack of a place to put an intake hose on?
thats because its bolted to a metal tube that comes right off the TB, then it goes straight up into the intake manifold on a turbo I
you would have to fab an adapter plate and rotate the wastegate can, theres an article on how to do it here:
