this just happened last night coming from school. my the fuel pump dsnt make that humm noise when i turn the ignition on, the car still turns on, but there is no more humm sound coming from the fuel pump like it did before....this is also causing the car to hold back from boosting....the guage still shows 5psi, but the push isnt there. the car also had trouble turning on this morning...it did but without a peep from the fuel pump....the pressure on the reg is still showing 55-60psi...so i dont knwo what the hell is wrong...someone help...this is the HRC fuel pump!

it sounds like either the wiring or fuel pump itself. check the wiring first(connections, rips, deffects, blah). if nothing, maybe it's time to get a 255lph in-tank becuase the pump is dead. or replaced if it's still under warranty.

What is your fuel pump set up like? Stock in tank and inline pump? Upgraded in tank? Upgraded in tank and inline? This happened to me, I had fuel pressure becuase the stock in tank was fine, but my inline pump took a shit… The car would run, but I could not boost…

ok, today my freaken HRC pump gave out! all the fuel poured out on a damn intersection...my car just shut off!! just got back...i thought it might be the fuel filter that maybe got locked up or something, so i replaced it....but i saw the leak where all the fuel came out...the fuel pump....this is not an in-tank pump, its the stock high pressure pump hrc supplies with the stage 1 kit. so i guess i'll buy the walbro 255 in-tank....my question now is....do i just buy any walbro? what are the supplies needed to switch from external to in-tank...fuel pump...i need to get this car running asap...so any help would be appreciated....by the way my car is stuck at a Costco. emoji

edit::: ok, i just searched and saw that everyone running the walbro pump still ust the supplied hrc accel inline!! holy shit...thats the pump that i fucked up...so i'm guessing i dont need the walbro..instead i need another freaken hrc inline??? help...

Well youre on stock injectors right? I've read that people on here who don't have inline pump have bigger injectors. I don't think it is advisable to run stock injectors at high pressures even with the walbro, but thats just what I got from reading on here. You can always just take out the inline, and not boost till you get a replacement or bigger injectors with a walbro.

yeah, my injectors are stock.. so since my inline just gave out, i can just take it out without doing anything and my stock fuel pump will get me home?

yeah, you can do that, just try not to boost at all. and i believe there are people just running a 255lph FP without the inline. the 255lph pump will get you enough gas without the inline(especially with stage 1 turbo kit). and it comes in a kit for around $90.

alright, thanks to all that helped. i'm just running the stock fuel pump now, and i sure as hell am not boosting, til i get a high pressure pump.

so, it would be cool if i just buy the walbro 255lph intank, and run it, since i'm only a stage one?....thanks by they way...points for all.

a 255 walbro will do fine. Thats what comes with the STAR kits and they come with a bigger turbo. ITs pushing it, but itll do. I ran it for 4 yrs and 40k miles. Just be really carefull.

The intank is pretty much and bolt in replacement. You might want to do the re-wire mod for more juice though.

Didnt HRC start using intanks too?

Where you located bro? I can go help you put it in if you want.

If your really worried, they sell a high pressure version of the 255.

interesting I had a similar thing happen to me well sorta kinda my pump did fail though. Sometimes I disconnect the power wire to my accell inline pump so I can just not use it for some reason or another. Well after I rebuilt my head I took the wire off again and then I'm driving around and I smell fuel and I look outside and there is fuel pouring out of everywhere where the inline pump is. I was trippin, I'm like man its never done this before. So I pull out my emergency tool kit and hook the wire back upto the pump and it runs fine again no more leaking.

Could it be possible that the pump gets stuck in a position where the fuel line gets blocked and then the fuel just starts pouring out of the pump itself? Cuz other time I did it, didn't seem to affect anything.

i really don't know if that inline gets locked up, but as of now, i'm just running the stock intank, and will take it easy until i get some bigger injectors and the walbro, i'm not about to waist money on another external fuel pump.

by the way chamuko. thanks for the offer. I'm actually located quite far from you, if i recall, you told me at the cerritos meet that you live in montebello? i have a good memory...=P , i live in Fontana! but hey, i would love the help when i buy all the stuff.

I went to corona with a friend to pick up a super charger for his RSX-s. So I was around either way.

I also have to head out to Rancho Cucamonga . I ordered something from a company there. They were great the first time I went to pick something up. This time I opted to have it shipped to save gas and time. That was 4 months ago. I think I might have to pay them a visit since e-mail and phone calls are getting me no where.
