I live in Georgia and need a machine shop to take my motor apart and see if it really is my rings or valve guides. There is no machine shop around here which sucks. I will drive to florida to get it fixed if there is a good shop i can trust. Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to get it running soon.

Thanks, none of them do automotive. I called and some used to but now they dont. I appreciate the reply. I was kinda hoping out of my range, i dont trust anyone around here, i want shop i can trust.Down here they look at the car and they notice a turbo and automatically assume that is the cause of every one of my problems, even if my headlight was blown.

Did you run a leakdown test? That would be the best way to see if the problem lies in the valves or in the rings.
