Well I'm still kinda overheating in this 100+ weather ever since that starion I/C was put in. I gotta question...how many of you with FMICs had to take off your actual metal bumper to put in your intercooler. The shop just cut a lil part off the bumper to make the I/C fit but that just might be blocking enuff airflow and acting like a huge heatsink. Then I can put in my Andy's front bumper thats been collecting dust.

whyucryn, are you at MCRD or Twenty-nine Palms since your in San Diego??
yeah Semperboost where you're at by the way?...I'm stationed at Anacostia Naval Station in Washington, DC, but live in Northern VA.

With regards to your question though, I have the STAR stage 2 and my FMIC hasn't caused any overheating problems from bad airflow. When you do your radiator flush and add water wetter, try and shoot for a 70/30 mix of water and glycol, respectively. This along with the Water Wetter made a significant difference in my engine temps. If its still a problem after this, you might want to check your cooling system pressure to make sure your water pump is working properly.

I've already flushed/ filled and added a water wetter, so that's out the question. The dual fan mod worked so that I cool off fast at low speed/ idle. Have you taken off your actual metal bumper to fit the FMIC?? I'm at the C/E school over here at 29 stumps. I should be finishing up my school in October (been here since March) then hopefully off to...hopefully Pendalton. What unit are you with?
