I'm gonna change out my exhaust manifold bolts ,that keep breaking or backing out, with some 4G63 ones from RRE. The stupid question is how do you screw in the stud? Okay, correct me if I'm wrong but a stud is basically a bolt with no head, rite? So can you thread it all the way in? Please help me with this simle question, thanks

The studs have a non threaded portion in the middle. When you look at it you will notice that there is a smaller threaded section, that side goes into the head. Put some loctite on the threads and use some needle nose vise grips on the non threaded part to screw them into the head.

Supposidly they are stronger and less prone to stretching. I personally can't stand studs. They piss me off when the nut gets stuck on the stud and the entire stud comes out.

C'mon dood, just thread 2 nuts on the end, lock them together, and turn the outside one, then when it is in as far as you want it, unlock the nuts and move to t he next one...

Exactly what he said! Use two nuts!
Vice grips? Oh my... don't try that... that's how you fuck threads up

Vice grips on the non threaded portion... The two nuts thing work good to.
