I second that, if your turbo stay with the stock unit, or find a UDP with a harmonic damper on it(which you wont)

I'm curious as to why someone would suggest that the stock pulley was superior to a UPD on a turbo car? I've put plenty of miles on my AFX UDP without obvious damage. The stock pulley is not keyed to the crankshaft, so it cannot act as a balancer. It does have an internal mass, thin strip of elastomer, and an outer mass. Perhaps, it could offer some torsional damping. I don't think it is there to prevent massive engine damage. Maybe to smooth out low speed driveability or something. I'd like to hear some alternate opinions.

Yeah, I wanna know too. I've had the AFX udp on for years now, NA and turbo. No problems here. Has anyone ever reported a problem directly related to the UDP that wouldn't have happened on the stock one?
