im in the process on installing a turbo on my car, i was wondering if i could use rubber lines for the oil feed and return lines, would there be any problems with this if i was only running 6psi. would SS lines be the smarter way to go. is there anywhere to buy feed and return kits for our car, i have a T3 60 trim turbo. thanks.

As long as they're rated for the temperature and pressure, no, rubber will work.
use the wrong shit though, and it's going to melt or burst or both, and then you'll be in a world of shit.

If no one can tell me a place to get a kit, do u think u guys could tell me what kind of fittings and stuff that I would need to use? If worse comes to worse ill just get everything seperate from summit. I'm not a complete idiot, but when it comes to sizes for that stuff I'm kinda lost. Thanks.

Call up summit.Get the autometer line #ATM-3229(4ft) It should come with the an 4 adapters.Go to the hardware store and get a 3/8 brass T and other fittings. Theres the feed. Now go to a local parts store and get a 3/8 hose that will hold up to oil and heat (just ask the guy that works there and for the love of god dont tell him what its for)get a 3/8 brass nipple. Work that into your oilpan and theres your "custom" Oil setup.

For the drain line, I think the best set up thus far is the HRC method of the 8AN with locking nut and washer to prevent leaks. Star kit owners have to weld a drain tube.
drain tube, I believe you getr get from places such as AGP or Slowboy. not sure about summit though...?
Feed is just a Brass Tee with SS lines to the turbo. Good luck on the project.

Thanks for the help everyone, but I have one more queestion. The kit I have is all custom, I have a steel tube oil line that hooks up to the small side of the center housing of the turbo, this is for the oil return correct? it fits perfectly to go right down to the oil pan, but at the end that goes to the pan there is a brass T with one end going to the tube line, and two open ends, one of these goes to the pan, but what does the other go to, is there even supposed to be another open end?

does any one know what im talking about. it seems similar to the star set up for the return line, im just not sure why there is a brass T connector at the end.
