#76090, "portfueler and 3" HRC downpipe prices"

siueclipse, or anyone who may know, has HRC stated the official pricing for these 2 items yet? i can't call them for 3 days. i know they aren't on the website but was hoping that bill told someone something final. he told me on the phone 3 months ago that they were shooting for $300-350 on the downpipe, and though he discussed the portfuler with me, he didnt have a price estimate on that at the time. im figuring all my expenses for my complete makeover and i need accurate prices because im ordering a pile of stuff wednesday (new BOV, clutch, front bumper, fog lights, exhaust, & possibly a CF hood). so far i have guessed at $350 for the DP and $1200 for the portfueler. can anyone confirm or correct these prices?

yeah now that you mention it i remember bill saying something about aiming for the $1000 mark on pricing. what exactly in the kit wouldnt someone need? i think everyone will need all of it, except the ppl who already have an 8-inj setup. has he said what type of FPR is included in the kit, bc i doubt its a rising rate regulator like the cartech or vortech. so even SFMU users will need the FPR as well. i guess if you already had an 8inj setup you could use the HRC program to manage your current setup without using HRC's manifold piece.

I guess the price is the parts, BUT most important, the already preset injector controller. For $1000, I wouldn't expect less.

I was quoted around 900 without the 1:1 FPR (already have one). When they can actually SELL IT TO YOU is a different story I guess..

Yeah i agree the Dp 375 is a fair price. The star 3" is 275 and stainless....i cannot see how they are makign any money on it? I just made my 3" and it cost roughly 100. in pipe and flex and 8 hours worth of tedious fitting and welding.

As for the portfueler, i suspect bill is only making markup on the parts; i dont think he is making a killing at all. think about it

SS AIC...list 320.00 bill probably pays a little less due to business acct and makes a few.
Injectors.....250.00 roughly....bill makes a few bucks here too
Port plate....probably 300 with rail....bill orders large quanities so makes a few busk s here
SS fuel line and fittings...150.00 very easily goes that high, anyone who has built their fuel system knows this.

Base map and tuning are just a service bill provides, for payment he gets your business.

So there you go, 1000. is high but look at all the parts you need.

Unfortunately, your right emoji ; I remember spending 200 just for the ss lines and fittings.

Yeah, but this is from HRC, duh! I had mine made locally which extends past the cat and bolts right up to catback piping for ~170 bucks... eh... May not be as sexy.. but I had more mod $$ left over..

i think the price is right for the downpipe. very good quality, perfect fitment. i couldn't be happier except where they ran the o2 bung. its on the wrong side of the pipe compared to stock.

i need to see the rest of the kit before i comment on price of the portfueler.

i checked for a few seconds and it looked like the parts needed would be ~70-80 bux... thats a lot more than a cheap 10-15 dollar 3 bolt flange...

Dont forget to add the "why the fuck wont these bolts go in" frustration time... that makes the regular flange way more right? emoji

smoke a joint. it will be funny when they won't work right.

and as far as companies making lots of money, they wouldn't be successful if they overpriced their things. im guessing that hrc makes 95% of its profits on bulk orders. I used to sling for a little while, and thats how i made money. sold it for the same price.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.
