Ok..so I blew my engine and all. Im planning on going turbo this year, but I have to rebuild now. I was reading maximum boost like a good kid and I came across the compression ratio part and it said at around 10 psi on 10:5:1 compression pistons 100 octane fuel would be needed. I was a little confued on this part because I was gunna go high comp rebuild and all but how bad would it be going to like 15psi? My whole goal is to be at 300 whp so how would I go about this cause Im gunna be ordering pistons soon.I've been searching all morning so if anyone could offer up advice. Im gunna run a water/alcohol injection setup so the alocohol would increase the octane rating right?. Im sure theres some people interested in this to so.. and also how much different would tuning be than the regular 8:8:1 rebuild that most people use. Would fuel tuning numbers be that much different?

hmm, dont try to do everything in the book right away.
start with a low/stock compression rebuild. and stage 2 kit and start from there with a 10.5 comp ratio it needs to be tuned correctly and yes high octane is needed at all times, not really 100 but 93 with some serious tuning, but if you want 300 hp you can do that with stock or 8 compression and 15lbs of boost
or rebuild with 10.5 and TUNE,TUNE,TUNE,TUNE correctly and with like 7lbs of boost you would hit your 300hp mark easily with only half the boost , well almost.
little more reading and understanding of problems/solutions that work on THESE motors. whats in the book is generic. stay away from the high comp IMO 8.6 or 9.6 only for you
