I recently broke 2 cylinders from running to lean and now I need a new motor. I dont know that much about turbos and dont have the money to build all my internals now. Here's my question...should I sell my turbo kit and build my engine to take a big shot of nitrous? Turbo's just seem to be alot of work and money.

NO!!!! do not sell your turbo. spend 20-30 bucks, get "maximum boost" by Corkey Bell, read it, and teach yourself!!! you can kill you motor with nitrous if you dont know what your doing just as easily as you can with a turbo! you cant do a "big shot" on a stock motor. building your enigne for a big shot is the same as building it for boost.
you have to rebuild anyway, so it would be silly to not do it right so you can have some options. dont skimp.

im not "skimping" anything. I have read numerous article/books on turbo's. Yes turbos are fun but they need ALOT of work and ALOT of money. Im not saying im going to do this, but I am in need of cash to swap motors. This is away to swap motors and still have some power

just curious here, but how did you "break" two cylinders?

long story short, I turned my boost up to 8 psi for 5 miles. I broke my oil seal and oil pump. I leaked out most of my oil unknowinlgy.

sell it to me. 500 bucks.

Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.

Don't do it. I had NOS before and although it was fun as hell purging all over the place (BOV is just as amusing), even on the freeway, the refills are gonna cost you. It's nice to have that "I can whoop your ass at the flick of a switch" type feeling, but you gotta keep that bottle full all the time or else you are a sitting duck. You'll be hooked on the NOS and want to put the throttle down all the time, trust me. NOS is more violent than boost. Boost is a more linear thrust while NOS is like a huge kick. In the long run stick with the boost, it'll cost less, you'll get more power, and it's O.G.

i do know what im talking about. AND, im the master of all lowballers. you can get a n20 kit for 500 bucks....
