Hey I remember a while back about in the f and f that when vin diesel finished the first race in his rx-7 that ppl were saying stuff about how he just turned the engine off and how he just got out of his car.....What was the deal with that?

Also, is it sumthin with letting ur turbo cool down before you turn off the car? I thought thats what a turbo timer did. Anyways if any of you guys could enlighten me Id appreciate it. I am thinking of getting a galant vr4 and there a many mods on most of them and I dont think some have timers on it....what would happen if i did just turn the engine off..?

The hot oil would just sit in there and fry and eventually ruin the turbo. You can get a turbo timer for under $100.
