okay, 8-inj is up and running. only issue is (besides fuel filter being wrong) my dash tach will not work now. i get tach readings from my logger and my 034efi contoller software, but no dash tach. i have a 4.7 and a 1.0 1/4 watt resistors to equal 5.7 inline on the tach wire, but no dash tach. is it the resistors? should i find an actual 5.7 resistor, or are the 2 okay? what gives?

You put the two resistors in Series, NOT parallel right? By series I mean resistors are end to end like this -0--0- I use the 5.7 and everything works fine..Be sure to solder your connections too. Oh yeah, you just tapped off of the stock tach wire right? you didnt cut the stock tach wire and put the resistor inline with that did you? Should be tapped off of the stock tach wire, then resistors, then the line to the 034 tach wire input.

:::sheepishly::: he-he... series? no....(hangs head) they are side by side soldered together.. so they should be end to end?
yes. tapped of stock tach wire at ECU. so i have it: 034efi tach signal wire spliced into ECU tach wire with dumb-ass resistors placed incorrectly.

I need a resistor with mine. I've got the same thing 4.7 + 1.0 1/4 watters in series. It has worked fine for a months, but I've had problems with my tachs lately. It could just be a loose connection, but it has been hot lately and I know resistors change value when they get hot. I don't know exactly what to blame it on yet. I think I'll be able to check it out tonight.
Maybe we need resistors cause we use other tachs as well?
