I have installed 450 cc low impedence injectors from an sr20det engine on my turbo 420a. I am using the sfmu w/ 2.72 disk and spacer and 1 10 ohm 10 watt resistor on each injector. These injectors are the same as dsm injectors. I am not really a noob and I know many of you have done this. What I am asking is if anybody has had any problems out of this setup. I have to drive my car 90 miles a day and would prefer not to burn up resistors or my ecu. I know I should just get some injectors made for my car but I already had these and I am broke as a mofo. Thanks

gee uh lets see are you sure an sr20det isnt a dsm motor? NO SHIT. I happen to have an sr20det engine which uses 450cc fuel injectors which are peak and hold just like the dsm 450's. They even use the same connectors. But thanks for the thread

I have actually already read that thread a few times. What I was asking is if anyone has had problems with this over the long run. I am looking for reliability. Like I said, I have to drive this car 90 miles a day.

I typed "450" in the search criteria on the advanced search and told it to look in the title only and in the turbo forum. Came up with a good 12-15 results. Try that.

Dude, I have read them. I am looking for long term reliability. All the threads I have read are talking about immediate results. My car runs great right now, but I would hate to be stranded on the side of the road because of a burned up resistor pack or a fried injector driver. If you are not running this setup and cannot tell me of your long term experiences with it then please do not reply. However, if someone who does have this setup and has been running it for some time could offer me some assurance I would greatly appreciate it.

Ok... I ran with my 450 CC DSM injectors running off my stock ECU with the use of custom resistor packs for about 9 months... before I switched over to Megasquirt control...
Injectors fan perfect... real nice.
No problems, but you better make sure you know what your doing with the resistor pack!
