has anyone came up with a way to trick the ecu into thinking the egr is working?(not tripping a cel?)

i have the tube off and the ports blocked off.
last year i past the smog check (cel on) here in cinci.
this year they will fail you if you have a cel.

Depends on what year you are. Some years can leave the solenoid plugged in and hooked to a vac source and it will tell the ECU it's still there and working. Others it won't do shit. If you have a 1997 you can get an ecu from AFX and they have removed the EGR check software all together.

There is a resistor you can use but i haven't figured it out yet. It doesn't remove the cel, just keeps it from coming back as often.
