#72678, "EGT gauge stopped working?"

It's an autometer gauge. I was redoing my wiring, and now it stopped working. I checked the ground, 12v wire, red and yellow connectors, etc... I doesn't read anything now. The problem is that I brough the gauge on ebay like 1 year ago, so I doubt I can get a warranty from them.

Try moving the cable behind the gauge. When I install my friend Autometer EGT gauge, had the same problem. After the installation, we turn the car on and the gauge wasn't reading anything. I checked all the wiring and were fine. Then I remove the gauge from the pillar and only move the wiring behind it and suddenly it start working. Still working since then. Maybe you want to try that emoji

Does your probe connect to the Pyro black box or straight to the gauge? Mine stopped working after 2 months and it ended up being the probe wire wasnt connected all the way to the Pyro box.

I don't think it could be your problem but when i routed my egt gauges through my engine bay i routed it near the EGR tube, so it touched the EGR tube and got all burnt up and would short out and not work. Worth a look.

If your needle start jumping around is the probe cable touching the EGR tubbing or exhaust manifold. If stop working, try moving the cables behind the gauge. That worked for me.

Tried those solutions; yellow main wire is not clearly touching anything hot. The needle is stuck at 400 F and I have a body ground, and 12v at the cig wire. Looks like time to upgrade to greddy...
