#71948, "hahn turbosystem fuel pump(s)??"

97 GS hahn stage II, bought it modded
was having very poor fuel delivery, than i realized i had two fuel pumps, one in tank, and one under the car. didnt know if this was the correct setup, anyone know?

i removed the pump under the car, and i have much better fuel delivery, but i still think im not getting enough, i estimate my HP at about 175 (lost a race to 190HP), im pretty sure i should be at like 225 at least with this set up.

my own analysis is that the second pump was no good, therefore inhibiting the first.

question: do i need to replace the second pump? is that the correct set-up? if i have a good pump in the tank, even if the second is part of the hahn set-up, do i still need the second?

thanks
-rick

The aux pump is the correct setup. Without it you are getting no where near enough fuel.

I'm a noob in turboing but I am learning. Does Hahn give you a fuel pump with a turbo kit? If so what kind, and are these fuel pumps noisy.. I think I may have heard something like this before somewhere but I'm checkin up with you guys.

Yes Hahn's aux fuel pump is noisy, but so is every other secondary fuel pump - sorry no way around that. You absolutely need it to support the fuel pressure required for boost. The only way to make it a bit quieter is to use the Walbro 255 in conjuction with it. That will help quiet it down a bit, but I agree ^^^^^ you want to be able to hear that it is working well.
