Just setting up my fuel pressure for the first time with these and I have a perfect idle at 12-14 psi, but I thought I saw somewhere that the minimum you want to push with these injectors are 20 psi, then they just become inefficient and dont spray properly, anyone else heard of this?? Also just curious what fp are you running at idle?

Yeah, the Ford injectors don't perform very well at low fuel pressures compared to RC or Accel's. Experiment with the fuel pressures, you'll be able to feel/hear when they stop atomizing properly. Mine work down to about 18psi. RC's work down to about 14psi.

See other threads about why running low fuel pressures is a bad idea anyways.

Ford injectors have a unique spray pattern. Atomization of the fuel is poor when operating them under 20 psi. With the great idle we acheived with them last night Michael, I think you're just fine at 12-14psi idle pressure. The base (static) pressure is over 20psi anyway, so the fuel should spray fine almost all the time. I idle at 16 psi with Ford Cobra 400cc injectors.

My wideband should be here any minute now and it'll be great for dialing in those injectors. emoji

Well, even at 18psi @ idle, mine were running pig rich too. Jamesman and I were experimenting comparing his Accell and my Fords. His idled GREAT at 13-15psi, and he was closer to stoich at that pressure.

If you go too low, you won't run lean, you'll just get get a lumpy/crappy idle and it sometimes will stall right as you step on the gas.

I have always used the SAFC and leaned out a LOT (~20%) at idle to compensate for the lack of lower range on my injectors and it worked pretty well.
