ive been running the 8 inj setup w/ the 034 for quite some time now (since the 1st group buy for 'em)
I was reading through the board the other day, and someone mentioned how having a 135kpa for atmosphere pressure (referencing someone else's settings) seemed to high, someone else said that their setting read the same way b/c it was set up for a 3bar map sensor.
Well, my atmospheric readings have been that high too, and sure enough when i looked, a 3bar map sensor is selected. Its odd, the car has run great like that since i put it in.
Anywho, where do you change the settings for the map sensor? In the ECU program, the first window shows the 1,2,3 bar map options, 3 bar is selected, but theyre all faded out, like it wont allow me to make any changes in that window.
Am i missing something, is there somewhere else that you change that?

That was my setting at 3 bar. From what i was told the unit comes equiped with a 2 bar sensor so setting it at 3 bar will put all your kpa settings off. Datalogging the car i find the 2 bar to be accurate with what the stock map is reading as well. Set it to two if you can get your program to do so and adjust accordingly.

Have you tried changing that value with the car running? Or without the car running, but 034 powered up? I can't remember, but on the old software version(what you have i believe), you may not be able to change the bar reading unless its with the car running or not..try both ways and see what happens..this is just a guess here..

Thanks, i do have the older software...cant remember if i was trying to change the settings w/ the car on or off but I will try both again tomorrow.
FWIW though, the car still runs perfect, even at 18-20psi, with it set on 3 bar. :dunno:

The output of a 2 bar or 3 bar sensor is still 0-5V, so it just changes the EIC's calculation of your manifold pressure in kPa. If you don't care if the EIC thinks that 130 kPa is atmospheric, then all is well.
