I just started my turbo install today..and had a question regarding the manifold...its a pain in the ass. what exactly are the directions talking about when they refer using the stock bolt..i couldnt fit one of those in the bottom of the manifold and the supplied bolt goes in between the two ports on the right of the engine(looking from front to back of car) correct?
Also...i have a 96...how does the fuel pressure regulator get mounted and does the whole fuel rail have to be removed?
I did a lot of searching but couldnt find specific answers to the questions...If i missed them..sorry in advance

it goes in the bolt hole under the manifold outlet. You'll see why.

so im assuming it does in there because there would be no way of actually bolting anything up under there? What about the other whole between the other ports..i could only get one of the screws they supplied under there..not a stock one..so im not sure about that one either

Pictures. I have no idea what you're talking about.
The supplied stud goes int he bolthole between 3rd and 4th runners. Cylinders are numbered from the passenger side to the driver's side.

ok i got that one right then...but it said to use a stock bolt...Now i noticed under the manifold..to the left of where the stud goes..you cant fit a stock bolt in there, i wasnt sure if im suppose to use the bolts that come with the kit as there is still a bit of bolts left for the rest of the install to do...ill try and get pictures so i can more cleary show what i mean...

make sure you don't overtorque them also. There's only suppose to be a little bit of torque like 9 lbs or something. having them all the same is more important though. Its kinda hard to get the torque wrench in there though especially for the on under thie outlet flange O_o
Put some locktite on the bolts too, hehe they have a tendancy to pop out, or since your there you could stud the manifold. Studding it makes it easieri to install too. haha now the even harder part will be getting tihe downpipe to match up with the turbine housing flange. haha that one always pisses me off.

+1. We ended up cutting the flange off, mating it to the turbo then tacking it to the dp, and rewelding the thing. What a fn pos. +1 meaallion for studding the manifold Metric studs should be available at most local hardware stores or order them from Road Race Engineering, or if you need i can order them through dsmparts.com at wholesale. Its very helpful and allows you to put some beef on the bolts without the hassle of a broken bolt.
