I plan on t-charging my 97 RS and i am going with the t3/t4. i was looking for a downpipe but most of you guys all say have a custom one built. Can i build one with just autozone piping and exhaust clamps or do i need to go to a shop. I have friends with most any type of tool I will need so that wouldn't be a problem.

You can get the pipe bends from jc whitney and fab your own. When you have all the pieces cut up and have it the way you want it, take it to a muffler shop for them to weld it.
