#71129, "New rebuild coming soon, let me know what you think"

I am tired of shit blowing up and I am planning on this complete rebuild in like 5-6 months. I need to know how much boost you guys think this will be able to push out and what i need to do about the right size fuel injectors, SFMU spring and if i can keep the walbro fuel pump that came with the star stage 2 kit. i will be using the star kit again in this motor. heres gonna be setup, let me know what you think about the setup, fuel stuff and how much boost.

Clevite 77 rod bearings
Clevite 77 main bearings
Melling oil pump
Eagles forged rods
JE 10:5 or 8:6 pistons ???
Forged crankshaft
AFX u/d pulley
New head and gasket
New bottom end core
Eaton PT cruiser lash adjusters
Eaton PT cruiser rockers
S.A Timing belt
Crane #14 cams
Crane valve springs
Crane adj. cam gears

what about fuel components, sfmu disk and how much boost???? thanks guys!

I think most people will say you can run as much boost as fuel you can supply. I think the 440# injectors max out at like 18-20 psi, but I think anything above 15psi you need some type of timing retard. Use the search, there's tons of back posts on what SFMU disk size and springs to use based on your injectors.

i decided to go with the 8:6 pistons to run more boost. probably will end up using the 255 walbro fuel pump and 550cc injectors. im hoping to daily drive around 16psi and track at 20-22psi, is this possible???

How are you going to control the 550 injectors? You'll need more than the SFMU. I've read about idle issues with anything above 440 w/SFMU.

i dont know where you get your sources. i have the sfmu, with the 440's and i have a perfect idle. and i run 20psi fp idle. so if i went to 500, 500, anmd lower the fp, i bet i can do the same. but a afc will help if you dont wanna play with the sfmu as much.

I get my sources from this board emoji Seriously, I thought I read about 6 months ago on here when I was researching what injectors I was getting that 440's idle fine, but anything higher and you need more than just the SFMU.

dopnt be worryin about the 10.5:1 comp. to high for boost application, at least from a tuning standpoint anyway.

guy from howell says he would recommend me on getting the 8:6:1 compression so i can turn up the boost and is better for a turbocharged vehicle. should i go with the 8:6:1's ??? this rebuild is gonna be pretty beefy though!
