I was reading this board extensively last year and now I am ready to purchase some forged internals. I was wondering if there are any new sources besides Howell Automotive, which I'll probably go through, HRC, or FTY. Right now I'm planning on the 2.0 Performance Bottom End Kit for $1099.95 from Howell.

Any other suggestions? I'll also be getting ARP head studs before the install.

I know I researched info on the Long rod kit last year and I remember just seeing old posts about why you shouldn't get the long rod kit, can't remember exactly what the reasons were. Has anything changed since then? I'll try and dig up the posts I found saying this.
