well guys i finished up my turbo install today. just turned it over inital check i have an injector leak but nothing else, oil feed is good and the gauges are working my vac is only sittin at like -12 shouldn't that be a lil more or could it be that i'm tee'd off soo much that its causing it to read so little? i have picts if someone would host them for me. the only other this is the CEL i can't key dance since i'm a 98 and my rear 02 sensor is disconnect so maybe thats it. i dont have datalink so i can't read it that way so any other suggestion?? i guess i'm goin to have to order that tomorrow. my egts are at about 8 when i'm ideling and my fuel pressure is a lil high at 38. but i haven't started adjusting anything yet this is just my first time startin the car. anything else i should be doin at this point.

What are the details on your turbo setup?
What's your fuel setup?
Take it to Autozone to read the codes, IMO

Congrats. emoji

you can email the pics to uberingram@srtoc.com and I'll get them online for you or you can hit up the link in my sig and go to the car pics forum and host them there too.

also, with your 310 injectors you should have about 22psi idle line pressure, 10psi is about 80psi fuel pressure static, 2.72 disc and small black spring inside for the sfmu

again though, get that synthetic out of there!

I'm really not liking that harsh 90 degree bend coming off the turbo though.

NEVER break an engine in with synthetic oil emoji

good point chris, i'd fix that if i were you too. just get a rounded bend, you dont want that kind of restriction in the intake track, especially that close to the compressor.

you'sd be surpised but even couplers will slow down velocity and cause turbulence of the air, a bend like that is surely affecting the air flow coming from the turbo

edit: check out jcwhitney.com or summit for some rubber couplers emoji they have tons

the motor isn't new its got 96,000 on it. yeah i wasn't sure about that 90 bend but for right now i'll leave it i mean it is sunday 9pm.
on the important things now.
1) i tried to adjust the fuel pressure with the static port on top and it didn't change should i be using one of the 3 ports on the side? like the vacc boost or bleed? once thats straighted out i think it'll be better.

2) once thats straighten out will my egts drop when i'm idling? i let it sit for about 15 mins while i was lookin over my safc making sure it was correct so i could start tuning it. and the egts went from 8 to about 9500. it wasn't climbing after that just sittin there.

lol ok so sue me, i assumed it was a new engine too. case closed emoji

about the fuel pressure, you need to lower the idle pressure by adjusting the screw on top of the regulator, my in-car gauge i jyst have someone point it at me while i have the engine running at op temp and the hoods open just bring it to where it needs to be. the static, just the bleed valve about 2 full turns and watch what the pressure is at WOT, if to high...close the bleed valve until you get it, watch the fp rise per psi boost

ok i tried the static screw and it only dropped about 2 psi and it was almost ready to come out of the unit, so what else could it be as far as adjusting it.

next i'm hittin fuel cut even with the missing link its the new version so i guess i just a POS one? i mean is there really a way to screw up puttin that on?so i'm in the process of makin that fcd http://www.fwdmopar.com/sites/dennis/howto.html.
now with this how am i goin to read my map volts w/o a data logger so i could adjust it? am i just goin to have to turn the potentometer til it stops.
