#70937, "Please help, i am having problems after rebuild."

I can start the car up once it has been sitting for awhile, but once it warms up it shuts off automatically. It won't start after that until i let it cool for 45-60 minutes. Then it will start again. I bought new cam position sensor, new crank position sensor, tried a new ignition coil, what else do i need to buy to get this car running right. My battery runs dead after i try and start it a few times. But then i jump start it and then i get power and the battery is not dead anymore. I have no clue as to what the hell is wrong with this car. I just want it running b/c i am to the point to just trade it and get an srt4. Please help me.

This may sound dumb, but since you did a rebuild and had the engine out, it might be a possibility. Check your alernator belt and make sure it's nice and tight. I know the tensioner is very difficult to get to being on the backside of the engine. If that not's tight, or slipping, your alternator may not be charging the battery. That might explain why after a while it just dies and shuts off. emoji That's all I can think of, it's a pretty broad problem to be having.

Does it continue to run if you leave jumper cables connected to the "good" battery car?? If so, then either its an alternator connection issue, or bad alt

I checked that, but i will double check just to make sure. Hopefully i can get this car running with the help of a good mechanic i know. I went to the track and saw these 2 240sx with sr20det motors in them and they thought they were the shit, so i was pissed b/c i couldnt run them.
