#70750, "Oil spraying in engine bay and white smoke"

Just recently I've noticed alot of oil spraying into the engine bay. The catch can still fills up a bit but it seems there is excess oil spraying in the engine bay. There is oil spraying on my hood (the battery side) and it seems it drips from my top hood latch when I open it. I have no clue where it's coming from. And sometimes when I got WOT and boost for a sec then let off I shoot a cloud of white smoke out. I did a compression test and it shows 180-181-179-180. So its perfect compression. Coolant is fine and the oil is spraying out and I seem to put 1/4th -1/2 a quart in every few days. Please help!

Judging form the information in your post:

1. Camshaft posistion sensor magnet "rubber band" gasket
2. Valve cover gasket

Of course, it could be a dozen other things too. Even with good compression numbers, a bad head gasket still isn't completely out of the question.

See I really can't tell where it's coming from. I'm bout to go take off the intercooler piping and look to see if there is any oil in them. And the valve cover has no real deposits of oil around it so I wouldn't think it would be that but I don't know.

Check and see if it's coming from the Valve Cover like Nate said. I had the same problem once. Or go get the black light dye and test it that way. That stuff rocks. emoji

It was happened to me 1 year ago, it was a Camshaft sensor seal.
First, It's really Hard to find before, because the oil is spray all over valve cover battery side, but when I clean my engine bay and try to WOT, than I can see more clearly the oil is leaks from Camshaft sensor seal.
After I change it, now My engine bay is clean. emoji

Cheers
