what he said. search some in the turbo/nitrous forum for answers to your question. the safest route with nitrous is a wet 50 shot. you can do 75 but it is more stress on your engine.

i ran 50 a for about a year. when i took the block apart it still looked brand spaking new. people have run 75 shots and blown up, some people have run 75 shots and not blown up.
i think you can slap a 50 shot on just about anything and be fine.
anyway the compression was good, machining crosshatches were still there. the block only had 30k on it though lol. if its a daily driver i wouldnt go above 50, but thats just me.

I'd suggest neither... direct port is the safest. It prevents too much nitrous from going in only 1 cylinder verus the other 3. But that is just my thoughts...

Okay.. Im getting a kit which will let me switch between a 35 shot, 50 shot, and a 75 shot.
My car is a daily driver, and when i usually race, I shift at 7000 (right at redline).
Im planning to use a 50 shot (75 shot on occasion, not all the time though). Would it be safe for me to shift at a lower rpm? Should I get a "full throttle" or an "auto ignite" set-up? And between what RPM's would be the best for me to use it? Also, I heard about a "progressive spray" set up, whats this all about and what do you guys recommend? THANKS ALOT FOR THE HELP... im new the the whole Nitrous scene, I'm jess tryin to do it as safe as possible.
