i just got my turbo installed today...i took it out for a drive and it was slow....my gauge is reading about 10psi, but my car is bearly moving....in first gear at WOT, it builds boost, but it seems like its not firing or something cause i bearly go anywhere?..im a 95, i bought the missing link, but i lost a bolt for it...so i only had one holding it on....now i know that thats not good, but i took the missing link out (because ive heard that 95's dont need a missing link) and it ran worse i think.... it has no power...once i hit third it will slowly speed up...but nothing like it should.... my spark plugs are iridiums gapped to .05...i know they are supposed to be at .032 or something, but i wouldnt think thats the problem.... any help? would my map sensor cause this "hesitation i guess"??.... i got the boost, i just need it to run right....help me out, thanks

gap them to .032. if your running too rich, and dont have a good powerful ignition, you will kill the spark

actually, i have an msd dis2 ignition... im thinking it might be a fuel problem of some sort, but not sure what to do about it....i have a sfmu and i had it set to about 27 psi with 30# injectors.... i dont have the restrictor for it, but ive heard i dont really need it.... i have the three screws tightened up on the side..that is what im supposed to do right?... im going to regap the plugs tomorrow, but i highly doubt that will solve all my problems...i think its either map, or fuel related....anyone have any experience with a problem like this? any other suggestions? i want my car to go fast emoji
thanks

the second largest disk/ring...and the softer spring? i believe? i just used what i was told to use for 30# injectors... gst's have a restrictor?.... let me add this... when i had the missing link on, the car would accelerate, but really slow until about 5000 rpm's, then start kick in..... im stumped...thanks for the replies..

you didn't use the set up I told you to use. Find that writeup that eclipse2nr did for a custom home depot bleed valve. Use that bleed valve with the largest disk and short spring. Adjust bleed valve accordingly. I'll tell you right now that you don't have adequate fuel pressure. You're running extremely lean at 10psi and getting detonation. Set your boost to 5psi and you will find that it boosts fine, but after that, you're not pushing enough fuel to the engine.

the custom Roadster2NR bleed valve allows for a more accurate tuning, not precise, but accurate. You'd need a wideband and safc for precise tuning, but the bleed valve will bring you close enough, if you tune it off a digital a/g guage and egt temp guage. I use the largest disk, no ring and silver spring. If I said dark short spring earlier, I apologize. I allow only a small amount of pressure to bleed out with the valve under full boost. This allows the sfmu plate to open slightly so the fuel pressure that you needed is there. With the disk and ring combo, you have a set fuel pressure that rise with the rate of boost. With the bleed valve you can adjust that pressure even more than the disk and ring will allow which makes it a more accurate tuning. Under full boost at 15psi I get .94 with corbin's custom digital a/f guage. I don't tune off fuel pressure. EGT temp and a/f mixture is more important than fuel pressure.

hmmm...see i dont have a "dark spring" i just have a short and long silver spring...im guessing the dark one is the short one.... so youre saying use the longer spring, largest disk, and get a bleed valve? can you give me information on how to build this bleed valve, and how to adjust it? the car seems to be running good with the short spring, second largest disk/ring...but my egt gauge isnt working so i dont want to drive the car alot.... thanks for the info...

ok, so all the bleed valve does is lower fuel pressure under boost? correct?.... for now i think i want to run rich just until i get everything completely figured out.....then ill do the bleed valve and fine tune...if im understanding it correctly....thanks for the link, it helped alot...
