Lately my car has been getting rotten mileage and the engine sure seems to get really hot. Lately the weather has been warm and humid here in San Jose, California. Makes my skin icky feeling and all, anyway would this make my car do these things?

I've done everything I could think about. I checked most of the fuel lines for leaks, pretty much just the ones I modified for the turbo install. I check to see if both pumps are running. I checked my spark plugs and they seem fine. The engine just feels like it really hot but the water temp is always fine.

Does humidity cause this? Or am I just Trippin... emoji

Hmmm...yes, I think humidity, as well as, hot weather affects performance. Talk to any turbo enthusiasts and they'll tell you that their cars run like sh*t when it's muggy or very hot out. The cars tend to run "richer" because the air is "thinner", which might explain the decreased mpg. I guess it's a result of inefficient combustion due to less-dense air. I know this isn't a very scientific explanation, but I think it falls along that route.

Yea, i'm in florida. I can tell when i leacve to go to work about mid-day the car feels real sluggish, but when i go home around midnight, its still a lil humid but not as much, therefore I notice the car spools quicker and boosts harder than in the day. My local DSM club has recently moved the weekly T&T from saturday days to thurs. nights because of the heat. Hope that helps. Hot-humid weather sucks for turbos!

yes heat affects Turbo cars especially. Heat is your enemy with any car, but since turbo cars already generate an abudance of heat...hot days are BAD. My car runs like 2 different machines when it's cold and when it's hot. Also think of IC's. The marjority of people on this board and people I know run air to air intercoolers which means the air is getting cooled by the air flowing over it... which if it's hot isn't doing much good. When it's hot air is less dense and your car does tend to run richer and there's not as much air there to make the same amount of power as opposed to cold air....he already said that above...So anways...Heat is REALLY BAD, Especially with the t-to small on my car....but not for long...hehe Frank3 here I come.
