#70133, "Rubber Fuel Return Line Size and Fittings??????"
I just need to finish hooking up my fuel which consists of the Walbro 255 and the return line. I was just wondering what size is the rubber hose that I should buy as my return line. I know I need 10ft of it from looking at the write up on the mods page. All it says is #4 hose...that doesnt help me out much. Also I know the fitting on the SFMU is a -6an. Has anyone just got like a -6an barb put on the sfmu then clamp a rubber hose from that to the tank?? WHat have yall done for those who didnt use stainless steel braided hose??? 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 10th Anniversary OZ Edition

Like I told you the first time, second time, third time, and however many times since then. Take the line off of the stock FPR and see what size it is. I think it's 3/8(-6) but I'm not 100% certain. Just get a 3/8 hose barb to go into the SFMU and put your fuel line on that. Why do you constantly make stuff more difficult than it should be? I think you're hanging around with the wrong kind of people, son.
Lets just say this... I'm over 100whp and soon to cross 200whp. Thanx 2GNT! Now if I could only learn to prove it.

Thanks for the lecture DAD!
I know youve told me to just grab the hose thats already attached to the tank, but when was the last time Ive been over to Dougs house to work on my car? Its been before you told me that first time, 2nd, and supposible 3rd time. Im trying to gather up all the parts I need before I make the long drive over to his house. So if someone told me the exact size that could make my trips less.
So Dave THANKS for your help, but you dont have to blaze me out like a lil bitch in front of 2gnt. 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 10th Anniversary OZ Edition

Calm down.
Just grab some 3/8ths hose and MAKE it work.

What you need:
1) -6AN to 3/8" barbed fitting on the SFMU return 2) 3/8" rubber hose for return line 3) a few clamps
I have a spool of -6AN aluminum hard line and I'm almost sure I have a -6AN crush fitting. Why don't we use that? If it don't work, TSC is 5 minutes from my house.
I'll be in the garage on Sunday. What you have left to finish is not very difficult. You need to put your suspension back together and the timing belt on... you've done all that before so you should be able to knock it out pretty quick. I can help you out with the fuel system, exhaust, piping, and stuff like that but a lot of this stuff you need to figure out using the manual so you know how to fix something when it breaks. Your car WILL break again some day, it's modified now. I don't mean to sound harsh if I do but if you want to build a modified car with a custom turbo system and rebuilt engine, then you have to be able to figure things out for yourself and not rely on anyone else. Nobody was there to build my car for me but I'll help you out as much as I can. Hit me up on my cell phone man...
