#70116, "High flow cat to Star DP?"

Will any high flow cat for FWD DSMs work with the Star DP?
I know that some 4G high flow cats from companys such as Apex supposedly only work with their DPs and cat-backs only.

Also, Brian (JustOne), if you read this please respond. I've tried calling your cell # but someone else has that number.

Cody

Any highflow cat should work. The STAR downpipe is "supposed" to line up with the stock cat and cat-back. Fitment issues exist, but tend to be minimal.

Interesting facts:

Mine lined up.
Brynden's lined up.
Avenger626 from ASEC's DP lined up.
SHOGUN98RS's did not.

Mine is a 95 GS MTX.
SHOGUN's is a 98 RS ATX.
Brynden's is a 97 RS MTX.
Avenger626's is a 96 Avenger MTX.

Do i call it a pattern? Nah. Minor fitment issues exist with any mass-produced kit, both from tolerances with the kit manufacturer, and tolerances between different cars. No two kits are the same. No two cars are the same.

That's sounds good enough. Minor fitment issues are ok with me, I don't want something that just simply won't work. We have a Pro 1 cat-back that I really like and don't want to spend more for something I already have, if needing an Apex cat-back for an Apex high flow cat for example.
Thanks for the responses. emoji
