#69636, "Autometer C2 boost gauge in 1g GSX... question"

I am getting a "second hand" emoji electronic boost gauge but the guy doesn't have the sender. Now I have a couple questions about this. First, where can I get one and how much will it be (roughly)? I have done a few searches on yahoo to find the answer, but... no luck. Autometer has the number for the replacement (2249) but they don't list a price nor can I find a price through the retailers around here that carry autometer stuff. Secondly, does anyone have a diagram on how to plug it in? My buddy who is into muscle cars and stuff told me that I should mount it in the intake manifold, but I don't know that that is the right place. It seems to me that I would want to mount it directly after the turbo on the hot pipe. Can anyone give me any info or direct me to a write up on the install? TIA.

I went to summitracing.com and entered the part number ATM-2249 and it says $69.95. I'm sure shipping and handling will be a little extra. Seems a little steep since you can buy a mechanical boost gauge new for cheaper than that, but I guess if you really like that C2 gauge, go for it.

Tapping the vacuum line for the boost gauge off the intake mani is fine. It will show you how much boost pressure is going into the engine, which is what you want to be reading.

Cool, thanks. The only reason I am getting the C2 is because a buddy of mine works at autometer and got this one for a real special price emoji. As long as I don't actually take it, I don't mind getting good deals like this, unless it was taken from a person... not a store.
