In an attempt to properly tune my timing I build this FCD and just finished installing it.

So I adjusted it to 24.5 in hg MAX, it yeilds about 25 digrees of advance under boost. Cool. So I tuned the map on my EIC to give the motor the extra fuel it needs. The fuel cut below is at 85 Kpa, which is about 24 in.hg. Then I added fuel using the matrix. Now I just need to get my Dis2 back from MSD and tune the boost curve.

Does anyone see any flaws to my though process?

Depends on what octane fuel you are going to use, and how much boost you want to run. With that timing, on pump fuel(92/93), I would not make it overly rich with the A/F in order to not knock. You prob will not gain that much power doing that way. Its much better to run a higher octane fuel, with more timing, and a better A/F ratio. Thats the best way to make power. Be carefull on how much boost you run with the timing at 25 degrees, and pump gas.

Hey derek, did you end up getting this setup installed/tuned? just curious..I'm also at the thought of *adding* timing..may help lower EGT's under boost, which means we can lean the motor out slightly, and gain some power..witout any knock of course emoji
