is having an oil catch can necessary?? i've seen some turbo eclipse's with them, and some with a breather still. whats the deal?? someone please tell me asap, i hope to be firing up my project this week! : ).

It's good to have. Just get some hose, run it into a Gatorade bottle (empty of course), and TADA!!! Catch can for almost free.

depends if you like cleaning up oil

Decide which you want:
1) Oil coating the insides of your intake tract and intercooler
2) Oil coating the outside of your engine
3) Oil neatly stored in a little can that makes everyone point and say "Whats that?"

I used to have a lot of oil comeing out of the breather before i
rebult my motor but now i have no oil comeing out. I still use a greddy oil catch can mounted ware the washer tank used to be . Im shure that sooner or later i will spit a little oil out of the breather. I would recomend a catch can becouse cleaninu up all that oil sucks.

just like a vacuum line off of the valve cover(where the breather was) into a bottle(for now) will work just fine? what do you mean about oil in the intercooler piping.. and intake??
