I no the PCM uses the crankshaftpostion sensor to determine the fuel injector sequence...We checked it, and we found it has a crack down the whole side of it, and oil is getting inside the crack...So its most likly bad

So im wondering, if that could be the cause of my problem

--When i start the car, it will go to about 100 rpm,sit there for a second, and SLOWY work its way up to normal idle speed..that whole time black smoke is comming out. It takes about 10 seconds for it to get to normal idle speed...then its will idle great...

It runs way to rich at start up, would it make sense the crank sensor is the problem here?
but then wouldent it always idle really bad? ahhhhgg

even if its not the problem, still replace it. i wouldn't have bothered asking if that could be a problem.

Maybe.

FYI, the crank position sensor doesn't determine the injector sequence, just the ignition timing. The cam position sensor is used to determine injector timing.

Just so you all know or already know, Autozone now carries alot of parts for our cars. I bought a crank sensor and IAC motor for my 95 eclipse the other day and total came to be less than $90. The coolant temp sensor is like 13 bucks. For the map sensor it shows in their computer as "not required" but after arguing with three different stores about it, I finally cross-referenced the map for a 95 neon DOHC and they carry that for $69. So, before heading off to the dealer, check out their stores first. I went on a shopping spree for sensors the other day when I found out they started to carry parts for our car. No wonder the dealers (both Mitsu and Chrysler) raised the prices on their inventory. Just FYI! Oh yeah, don't quite remember what the prices were on the crank and IAC, but I think they were like 36 bucks for crank and 49 bucks for IAC.

OH BTW: We changed the sensors and helped, but still bad start up....We changed to RC 310's, and its PERFECT NOW! THANK GOD! I will never use those Accell peice of shit's again! they are like 2 months old! they ohms were over 16 on 310s!!! wtf!?!? they gave me some wack injectors...
