So the rebuilt short block is done (je 8:8, total seal rings, eagle h beam rods)! It came out awsome...We had almost no problems this time around...

We have only one problem, but I fear it is a major problem...
The car is running to rich...
---When we first start up the car, it will basically fall on its face. It will start, at about 100-200 RPM, sit there for a second, and slowly get its way at normal idle. Up around 800…the whole time its doing that black smoke is coming out.
---After that, it idles great…Even with my crower cam shafts, it will idle smoothly.
It can’t be my fuel pressure, because that would make a messed up idle.
It has been this way for a while, even before we put the turbo kit on, I had the 310’s in for about 2 weeks, and it had the same issue

1. Our best guess is a bad injector…Maybe its leaking fuel so when it turns on it has way too much fuel, then it will burn it off – then that’s why it will idle fine 30 seconds from when we turn it on.
2. I remember a couple weeks ago, did a scan and saw my 02 sensor reading one solid volt, it just stayed at 1 volt(during idle) so im pretty sure its bad. Could that cause my start up problem…??? But still keep a soild idle?

I need some help here

Actually on startup when the engien is cold the )2 sensors are not used to determine airfuel mixture, when the ecu sees the enging begin to warm up it goes into closed loop operation and reads the 02 sensors.
