#69162, "Another e-manage question"

Ive searched around the site and havent gotten exactly what I need to know. Basically I have the E-Manage with the option Support Tool/Cable, Ignition Harness, and Injector harness. All Im missing is the Boost harness and the Greddy MAP sensor.

My question is has anyone gotten all the features to work for sure? I have an intercooled custom/Hahn setup running at 10psi, stock bottom end. I am going for a rebuild soon, along with 600cc injectors. Can the e-manage control injectors that big? Or it only really limited to 150% over stock? Is there only one type of MAP sensor that you can buy for our cars (like a generic 3bar) or is there a special one you have to order? I know people have gotten the fuel aspects of the e-manage to work, but what about timing control? What about boost, and tuning based on boost? Is it even worth it for me to buy the boost harness and the MAP sensor? Cause if they cant be made to work, no need to spend the extra $.

Also, is there a "generic" fuel/ignition map to start out with? Or do you have to actually make your own from scratch? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The largest I know of is 525cc injectors that Murix had. I have 440cc and so far so good. I had a little trouble tunning it, but all seems to go ok.

Okay,
I think I'm the only one who has tried to get the ignition harness to work, but being that I have been super busy and lagging. I have not built the prototype circuit to adapt the ignition harness to our cars. All other options work. you need to get the greddy pressure sensor. the emanage will not work with any other sensor. FYI the Pressure sensor for the emanage is the same as the ones used in greddy's peak hold / warning boost gauge. You cannot use a generic sensor. I am using 440cc/min injectors right now and I have had no problems. Murix has been using larger injectors successfully too. If you have really searched good on the site you would have found all this info in other posts. Vinnie (kiku888) even has a compete writeup on the main site. There are no pre-programmed maps.....this is a piggyback remember....all 0 settings on the emanage maps means no correction. no base maps are provided, our car is not officially supported by the e-manage.

So what exactly is the problem with making the ignition harness work? I work with electronics, so I probably have the right tools/parts to make it possibly work. I have plenty of time and alternate transportation, so I wouldnt mind trying to figure it out. I think the instructions I got with the e-manage are all in Japanese, so I wouldnt even know where to start installing the thing.

Also, does the Greddy pressure sensor replace the factory MAP? Or do you still retain it with some sort of Missing Link/Black Box Hack and install the Greddy pressure sensor somewhere else (i.e. intake pipe, intake manifold, etc.)? The ECU still has to get a MAP reading. Im not sure if the E-manage replaces the stock MAP, takes the input, reads it, and then caps the voltage before sending it out to the ECU or if the ECU uses the stock MAP sensor. Im still new to the e-manage idea.

I was also looking into getting the Profec-E01. If Im not mistaken, that comes with a pressure sensor, right? So would I still need a separate pressure sensor for the e-manage or would the e-manage be able to use the profec's sensor when the two are interfaced?

Thanks for the help.
