i have the hrc stage 2 kit with fmic,vortech fmu, and walbro fuel pump but i'm having some problems with it. well i can only get 5 pounds of boost out of the 8-10 pound wastegate.i'm thinking its a boost leak so i checked the pipes, hoses, intake mani but cant find the leak?i'm also getting blue smoke from my exhuast and i was wondering if my turbo was bad and leaking oil. i never had any smoke before i went turbo. a buddie of mine said that the turbo seal is broken and thats why i have blue smoke. so does this mean my turbo is bad? will i have to rebuild it?or could it be something else? if it was bad would it still make 5 lb of boost? help? any advise would be greatful..thanks again

i know you're new here, so do a search it's been talked about 1000000000000000000times. that includes the HRC pump question.

How did you plumb the wastegate line? If you plumbed it directly to the compressor outlet then it may actually be opening up at 8psi and getting 3psi of pressure loss with the intercooler. Try plumbing it directly to the intake manifold plenum to bypass any pressure loss.

Disconnect the compressor outlet and check for oil in the tube.

i'll try to check that today, metaljim. i am new here to 2gnt and i Apologize for the newbie questions. i just had a hard time figureing out why i'm not hitting full boost and the blue smoke from my exhuast. but thanks for the help..

Mabye your drain line is kinked or not draining for some reason. This could cause a backup in the turbo and the oil could get into the compressor housing.
