#68626, "Tuning with 30lb injectors?"
Apr-07-04 03:10 PM by EclipseRST

I searched and sort of came up with some info but not exactly what I need.

I'm using the Vortech S-FMU and will be running 6psi. I want to know what I'd need to set my pressures at if I swapped in 30lb injectors.

Right now the S-FMU has the small dark spring and the disk that came with the unit. What ring/disk/spring setup will I need for my desired setup?

Also what kind of benefits/changes should I notice? Will my idle be rough? Am I jumping the gun and getting too big of injectors?

that's a pretty common set up...but your idle pressure will be around 22psi I myself am running the 2.72 (the 2nd biggest disk and ring) with the short dark spring if memory serves. But a lot of ppl run the biggest disk and the bleed valve set up. I'm going to switch to that set up when I get some time to tune. because I'm running fat down low and a little lean at full boost. Or I'll wire up my SAFC and add a little idel fuel pressure and adjust the extra fuel out of low end. My idle is perfect. And also I'm only runing 7 or 8psi.

So is there a specific pressure I should set it at for full boost under WOT? And is the bleed valve highly recommended or just mainly for fine tuning?

Good question actually. I'm not sure exactly how they translate into cubic cm.

Okay guys we know now that idle is at 22psi but what is WOT fuel pressure for 5psi and 6psi. I have 30lb injectors on the way as we speak so I will need to know what WOT pressure is at 5 PSI so if anyone knows 5psi and 6psi then points to you but you must know both and not just guessing. emoji
