I have the Greddy Type S and I want to play with the sound screw. If I adjust that from soft to hard, it that goign to hurt anything from the inside of the BOV?

I believe that you can tighten the screw to make the sound a bit better, BUT, you will mess with the response time also, which can lead to compressor surge. You do not want to tighten it up too much.

If you adjust it too loose, it might leak under boost depending on how much you're running. If it's too tight, it won't open fully and give you compressor surge. It's not really a "sound adjustment" screw, it lets you adjust the tension on the spring so it opens correctly.
