I recently took my car to Satan to change my timing belt, and every since i have gotten it back it has been ideling rough. I have taken the car back several times and their computers say that it is runing fine. At first i thought that the crank sensor was bad, so i replaced it, along with my spark plug wires and coil. My car still starts like crap and sometimes idels funny. I have had my hrc stage one kit on since last May and before now i haven't had any problem. Does any one have any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Oh and by the way my fuel pressure is set right, and i do have a missing link.

are you using the craptech or the vortech? (fmu or sfmu)

How is your idle fuel pressure?

I do have the craptech fmu and my fuel pressure is set at about 55psi

When my car idles it has like a pulsating sound. jumping from about 900 rpm to 950. it goes hum... hum...hum ! not hummm like it should do. It's weird i have adjusted my fuel presure and everything.

Um I think 900-950 is normal I think. Mine jumps up and down about 50-100 rpms in relation to my A/F gauge. As the gauge dings back and forth at idle the rpms will go down a bit when it reads lean and then up at rich.

55 psi at idle? Stock injectors? do you have the vacume signal line attached to the fpr? I think your fuel pressure should be a bit lower at idle. Do you have a data logger? What do the fuel trims look like? It's totally normal for the motor to rev up and down at idle ~100 rpm.

I understand that the engine is supposed to rev up and down a little, but my car just staight up sounds sick. Sometimes it even revs all the way up to about 1400 rpms@ idle. the it geos back into putter mode. I do have stock injectors, and i am running the psi that was suggested by the HRC stage 1 kit( 47-55 Psi Idle) I do not have a data logger, but when i took it back to the dealership they said that everything was gravy. If i don't let my car warm up in the morning and i try and pull out of my garage, sometimes the car will just shut off.Before i got that belt fixed none of this stuff was going down.I just find it wierd that all this went down the day i came and got my whip from the dealer. So i know this aint some normal ShYt. Any clues anyone?

PS: it may be possible that your timing MAY be a half a tooth off. it can be subtle enough not make you think of it right away. try another shop besides satan ans see what you get form them.
