OK... well time for some more details...
Today I finished up doing the last wiring, and re-installed my turbo... wo hoo.
Then came starting time for the car. So I hooked up the laptop and was ready to go... Forst thing I notice is that it doesn't want to start... but then on the laptop I notice that I'm not seeing RPM... Also mptice that my Tach. isn't working.
So... I get it to start after a while when I notice that the rpm's just signa; on the laptop as I stop trying to start her up... so after a few quick turns of the key she fores up!!!
At first I was kinda in shock because it started all of a sudden. Tach did not work though... hmmm. I think that the ECU tach output signal is not strong enough to power both the MS and the tach... so tomorrow I need to pull the RPM signal for the MS from somewhere else... I also think I may need to change some of the +12V wiring slightly... seems that the MS might not be getting full voltage under cranking... hmmm.
Anyway... good news is the car started up... and seemed to be warming up nicelly! I guess I picked good numbers for the warmup enrichments... Also noticed that the stock ECU was doing a perfect job of controlling idle with the IAC. Yepp that's right, I have the stock ecu running the IAC... MS isn't touching it. Stock ECU seems happy to do this... and actually once she was warmed up the idle rpm seemed rock solid... just sat there at 800 rpm.
So after playing with some of the settings for a while I decided it was time for e test drive...
So I took her for a few quick laps round town... and boy did she feel good! Even in an untunned state things look so promising!
So anyway in the morning I'll make a few wiring changes and see if we can get some serious tuning done!!!

where did you order it from that you only had to go to one place? BTW congratulations on getting the thing up and running. best time so far 14.3 @ 101.1mph(no traction) fastest 2GNT with a hitch! until proven wrong...

I traded a guy an Motorola CPU develpoment kit for his Megasquirt kit. It was a complete kit ready to be soldered together... so no sourcing parts..
Anyway so today I figured out a few wiring quirks... Seems that the stock ECU tach output circuit can only drive the tach, and not the tach and MS... so I had to grab the MEgasquirt rpm signal from the coil pack... Once I did that the stock tach came bac to life, and the Megasquirt could see the rpm during cranking...
Once I got past a software bug in Megatune that filled every parameter in teh Ms with a value of 255... she fired right up!
Yep thats right. She fires right up. Warms up perfectly... Idles perfectly... (better thgan stock) and so far runs real sweet... Had to tweak a few settings to get the accell right but things are looking very sweet so far... the future is clear.. the future is Megasquirt!
To answer the question about the IAC... yes there is ways to get the MS to control an IAC, but so far not a Chrysler IAC... anyway, the stock ECU is doing a wonderful job of running the IAC... idles better than stock... haha.
I'll give more updates throughout the week.. and I'll be happy to answer any questions... I need to tune the VE table yet... but even so far she runs great! Spools better than before! and pulls harder...
