Oil is squirting out every where of the breather on the drver side of the vavle cover. I checked the PCV and it works fine so at least I know that its not plugged and that the only place for the pressure to go is out that breather. My car is not smoking via rings although thet are still stock so that does not mean they are not blown. I just need to know if any one can help. Any information is good information at this point. Thank you guys. Trevor

I take it your turboed right? Well got some bad news for you, my engine did that once and it was blown. I had broke a ring land on my piston and had very little compression. I was still able to drive it, I didnt even realize it was blown at first. I suggest that you do a compression test but it does not sound good.

Yep, sounds like you cracked a ring land. Sorry to hear it. Most of us have been there, so we know how you feel. Time for a rebuild!! emoji

what's wrong if you still have relatively good compression (190 across the board) and you are still losing (not spewing per say) oil out of the valve cover?

When the car is idling, remove your oil cap. If smoke/pressure is coming out of your filler cap, then cracked ring lands/piston is most likely.

It might also make kind of a chugging sound like a faint locomotive.

If this is not the case, you might have been doing some good cornering and this will cause the problem you are having. You might also check your dip stick to make sure it is not coming from there.

If all seems good, get a good oil catch can and route both crank case nipples to it. Put a cap on the intake manifold nipple or use that for a dedicated BOV vacuum source.

I also suggest a crank scraper for spirited driving. This should prevent oil from splashing all over the place.
