#67479, "Wastegate, Piece of waste!!"

hey guys, long time no see forum. anyways i got a Turbonetics Deltagate Wastegate. seems to me, it finally gave up on me when i had a boost spike. Its set on 6psi springs and i was goin pass 7, 8, 9 and i found out its vacuum tube coming from turbo. i changed it, but too late. as soon as i did that, and drove my car, turbo is spoooolin lightly, my greddy type-s bov is whoosing like a girls fart, and im not passing 2psi. hmmmmmmmmm. now i kno im hard headed, and i got pride, but i must admit that my friends were right, deltagate wastegate will give up on you. i took it out, wow, i can press on it and it would go all the way in. so heres my situation, what Wastegates is everyone using here?? Hows it keeping up on you? I think my direct replacement would be a Tial 38mm Wastegate or this australian company called Turbo sumthing. HELP!!! i hate spending extra $$ thats not reliable on me.

p.s. i just installed a Greddy Profec B boost control, even the guys who installed it couldnt get it pass 2psi at all before i took out the wastegate.

Tial is excellent.

The other company is turbo smart. I would go with Tial, but that doesnt mean I have heard bad things about turbo smart.

i went with a tial 35mm after my deltagate crapped...rock solid boost control and it looks 100000x better than that ugly ass deltagate.

i recently bought a 38mm tial to replace my deltagate too. the design is identical on the 38mm, the flange is the same and the angle the dump comes off is the same. i'm guessing that tial got ripped off by turbonetics, wouldn't be unheard of. So in conclusion, get the tial. you will not need to fab up your mani or change your dump tube, they are identical. good luck.
