I was curious to see what kinds of fp you guys were getting and what disk you were using? I am using the 2.72 disk and I want to get 17psi of boost if the 440's can handle it safely. Now according to the chart that came with sfmu I figgure that will put me near 110psi of fuel at 17psi. Does that sound right? Is that to much press.? I have standard rubber fuel lines. If I moved down to the 2.47 disk that would put me at about 90psi of fuel at 17psi boost. Which sounds better (safer)?

Hey guys come on I know there are a few of you out there. Did I word the post all screwy so you dont have a clue as to what I am talking about? Do you guys even know what fuel pressures you are getting at max boost of about 16-17psi? I need to know so I dont blow any of my fuel lines. If I have my numbers messed up and there will be to much pressure that would suck.

What fuel pump are you running?

Reason I ask is that (I'm not running boost that high, but I've done the calculations for what that's worth) my spreadsheets show that even the HP fuel pump will max out around 15 psi or so (w/ the 440s and 2.72 FPR). That's all just theoretical, but it's a starting point.

I guess what I'm saying is make sure you check your fuel curve with the fuel supply you're saying you'll need if you haven't already

if you can go down to 90psi with the other disk...i would think you should use that....i was hoping to use the 255hp pump with the sfmu and dsm 450 injectors and hope to run about 18psi....so you got my interest in this topic too

I am using the setup from HRC, stock intank with hp inline pump. The only reason I dont want to use the smaller disk is because I was recently using it and I could not get my fuel right at all. It was always lean I thought because of the lower fp at like 15psi boost. Maybe I should try using the smaller one again and play with it some more.

Do you have a bleed valve with your SFMU?

I think if you ran the 2.72 disk ring setup and then tuned it with the bleed vavle, that would probably be your best bet. I would really recommend getting yourself the walbro 255fp before going this route though...just my 2 cents!

At least he used the search button? I think. Or else I have no idea why he replied to a post this old.

Not at all! More people need to be like you, someone who knows how to search. Even if the thread is old if you have a useful comment or a real question to add there is nothing wrong with bumping it up.
